Certain cancer treatments, including chemotherapy and radiation to the chest for breast cancer, increase a woman’s risk of heart failure and arrhythmia. We coordinate care with your oncologist to lower your risk of cancer treatment side effects that contribute to heart damage caused by cardiotoxicity.
AHN was among the first centers in the country to use cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI) to detect heart disease in women. This imaging test complements tools such as cardiac catheterization and stress testing that detect early signs of coronary artery disease in women.

If you have any of the heart conditions we treat at the Women’s Heart Center, and you are not already being treated there, talk to your primary care provider (PCP) about the benefits of our treatments and resources. Based on your discussion, your doctor may refer you for treatment at the clinic.

Before you call, make sure you have your current insurance information and the contact information for your PCP (if you have one).
