Thrombolytic initiation within 3 hours after stroke symptoms start: This demonstrates the percentage of patients who came to the emergency room within 3 hours of the start of symptoms and received treatment with IV thrombolytics.
Preventing blood clots: This demonstrates the percentage of patients who are at high risk for developing blood clots in their legs as a result of immobility were started on prevention treatment.
Anti-Thrombotic Medication by End of Hospital Day Number 2: This demonstrates the percentage of patients who were prescribed a medicine to decrease the chance of stroke by the end of their second day in the hospital.
Assessed for Rehabilitation Services: This demonstrates the percentage of patients who were assessed for rehabilitation services prior to leaving the hospital
Stroke Education Provided: This demonstrates the percentage of patients who were given stroke education prior to being discharged from the hospital
Anti-Thrombotic Medication at Discharge: This demonstrates the percentage of patients who were prescribed medicine to decrease the chance of having another stroke prior to being discharged from the hospital.
Anticoagulant Medication at Discharge for Atrial Fibrillation/Flutter: This number shows the percentage of patients with atrial fibrillation/flutter who were prescribed a blood thinner to prevent a stroke as a result of their atrial fibrillation/flutter.
Statin Medication at Discharge: This number demonstrates the percentage of patients who were prescribed a statin medication to lower cholesterol levels when being discharged from the hospital.
Received Defect Free Care: This demonstrates the percentage of stroke patients who received the recommended stroke care during their hospital stay.
This demonstrates the percentage of patients without symptoms of stroke who did well after carotid stent, transcarotid artery revascularization, or surgery was performed.
This demonstrates the percentage of patients with symptoms of stroke who did well after carotid stent, transcarotid artery revascularization, or surgery was performed.
This demonstrates the percentage of patients whose involved blood vessel is reopened to at least 50% up to 99% following endovascular therapy.
This demonstrates the percentage of patients who develop a symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (blood in the brain) following the procedure to remove a clot in the blood vessel. Lower percentage is better.
