Nursing Education

At Allegheny Health Network (AHN), our nurses are committed helping our patients heal to their fullest potential — often through their most challenging times.

We’re committed to offering you the best educational opportunities and training resources available, including one of the best RN programs in PA.

AHN Schools of Nursing

AHN Schools of Nursing offer 22-month programs at two separate campuses — one within the city of Pittsburgh and one in the eastern suburbs. Both programs offer you a unique, well-rounded experience that includes classroom study featuring simulation labs and more than 800 clinical hours.

Citizens School of Nursing

Working closely with AHN Allegheny Valley Hospital in the eastern suburb of Natrona Heights, Citizens School of Nursing has a 22-month program that prepares you for entry-level practice, the registered nurse (RN) licensure exam, and advancing your nursing education beyond a diploma.

West Penn Hospital School of Nursing

In our 22-month RN program, you’ll practice in a Magnet® Recognized hospital as well as its state-of-the-art simulation lab. You’ll receive a diploma in nursing and be well-prepared for the RN licensure exam and entry-level practice.

Now accepting applications

AHN Schools of Nursing are currently accepting applications for classes beginning in 2023. The application deadline is June 15, 2023.

RetuRN to Practice Program
