Application Information

Applications are accepted through Electronic Residency Application Service® (ERAS®) only. The deadline for applying is November 15th of the year before desired start of the program. Saint Vincent Emergency Medicine participates in the NRMP (National Resident Matching Program) to fill all PGY-1 positions.

The completed application should include:

• USMLE Step I board scores, or COMLEX Part I board scores, Step II or Part II should be available at the time of interview
• Minimum three letters of recommendation with at least one in Emergency Medicine
• Official medical school transcript
• Dean’s letter
• Personal Statement

Foreign Medical Graduates

In addition to above, please also include:

• Copy of your ECFMG certificate
• Copies of all ECFMG/FMGEMS/FLEX scores
• Our program will sponsor J-1 Visas only

Interviews

Interviews for application to the Emergency Medicine Residency are by invitation only and occur from October through February.
